Bhumana Summoned In Parakamani Case

CID summons in parakamani case

CID officials have issued summons to TTD ex chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy in the Tirumala parakamani theft case. Earlier, TTD employee Ravi was caught stealing $920 from Lord Venkateswara’s parakamani, and a case was filed on April 7, 2023.

The complaint was filed by then AVSO Satish Kumar at the Tirupati First City police station. CID has asked Bhumana to appear at its office in Padmavati guest house at 4 pm on Tuesday. The investigation began following High Court directives.

CID aims to submit its report by December 2. Meanwhile, the inquiry faced delays after AVSO Satish Kumar died. On Monday, past VGO Giridhar was interrogated about whether parakamani employees approached him first with the complaint.

He was also questioned about how the TTD vigilance department handled the case, the papers they submitted and who received the other details. Giridhar stated that the facts collected were given to then CVSO Narasimha Kishor. He was asked if Satish Kumar faced any pressure to compromise, but he said he noticed nothing specific.

CID later questioned then AVSO Padmanabham regarding his knowledge of the case. Public curiosity in AP is growing as they wait to see what comes from Bhumana’s interrogation.
