Finally, Congress has finalized the Rajya Sabha nominees for the upcoming elections. KVP Rama Chander Rao and Congress whip in Rajya Sabha, MA Khan will be continued for the second term. Subba Rami Reddy who recently contested Nellore Bypolls and lost is the third candidate. This list was released by AICC (All India Congress Committee) a short while ago. The party will be sending two observers to ensure the elections go on smoothly.
On the other side, Congress Seemandhra leaders are planning to field a rebel candidate in elections fray. Senior leaders JC Diwakar Reddy, Erasu Pratap Reddy or Ghanta Srinvasa Rao will be filing their nomination. A total of 55 Rajya Sabha seats will go to polls on February 7th and January 28th is the last date for filing nominations.
