Congress Incharge Digvijay Singh previously called the decision of Telangana formation as a historical mistake at least for the party. Congress expected the state formation will help immensely in Telangana. Forget about the benefit in Telangana, the party got totally ousted in Seemandhra.

So, Congress party calls the Telangana stand as a historical mistake for them. But now they do not want to repeat the mistake once again. AP PCC President, Raghuveera Reddy announced that the party is against to separate Rayalaseema demand.
However he clarified that Congress party will fight for the Rayalaseema region and its rights. It is known that few individuals are bringing this separate state demand and are trying to fan the sentiments of the people of the region.
