The Demonetization announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8th last year is one of the biggest shocks to the people in the history of Independent India. The country is still battling the after-effects of Demonetization which is targeted to flush out Black Money from the system.

On the other side, Modi is silently working on another shock and this time it is on Benami Properties. Modi government brought the Benami Transactions Act just before the Demonetization and now sources say that IT department is cracking the whip on such properties from the last few days.
According to sources, IT Department attached 42 properties during the last few days, issued 87 notices under the prohibition of Benami property transactions Act. In coming days, it will become more intense but then it will not affect the common man much as in the case of Demonetization.
