Doctors in the Chittor district have witnessed an interesting scenario. A woman was tested positive for Coronavirus. All her relatives refused to take care of her 18 months old baby. With no other options, the woman had to keep the baby on her side throughout the treatment.
The baby, however, did not contract the virus. After the treatment, doctors conducted three tests on the woman and four tests on the baby and all of them came negative much to their relief. “Even though relatives deserted, God came to the rescue of the baby, those in the hospital said.
The mother and baby were discharged on Sunday advising 28 days of home quarantine. The woman and her elder sister contracted the virus from their family members who attended the Nizamuddin Markaz event. Chittoor district is one of the worst affected districts in Andhra Pradesh with 73 cases.
The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh reached 1,177. There were 80 new cases in the last 24 hours.
