TDP (TS) Senior Leader and the party’s Rajya Sabha MP, Devender Goud the other day, had written a letter to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao intimating him that he is ready to allot 50 Lakhs from his MPLADs funds for the proposed biggest statue of Ambedkar in Hyderabad.

This development comes as huge shock to TDP (TS) party. They are doubting if this means Devender Goud is nearing to Telangana Rashtra Samiti. One more section of TDP (TS) say this may be to garner Dalit support to his son and TDP (TS). Fact is that Goud is being pressurized by the ruling party so that his son, Veerender Goud’s political future is secured.
Veerender Goud contested for Chevella Parliament in the last election from TDP and lost it. Devender Goud is suffering from a serious illness for a long time but may bite the bullet for his son. Earlier he was one of the first senior TDP leaders to join Praja Rajyam Party back then, He made a comeback to TDP and was offered a Rajya Sabha seat. If Goud shifts it will be a huge blow to TDP not only in Telangana but also AP as Rajya Sabha seats are gold dust these days given BJP has no majority in the upper house.
