DK Aruna, BJP MP from combined Palamuru, has openly said she wants to become the Chief Minister of Telangana. In a TV interview, she shared that every person should have a goal. “When I’ve come this far, I want to go further,” she said.
Aruna stated that there’s nothing wrong in aspiring to be the CM. She added that while the decision isn’t in her hands, she will keep working to become Telangana’s first woman Chief Minister.
She urged women to realise their strength and use the 33% reservation effectively. Aruna said women already enjoy 50% reservation in local body elections but still need to grow politically.
The BJP leader advised women to focus on their own growth instead of involving family members. Recalling her past losses as an MP and MLA, she said she never gave up and that persistence made her a Member of Parliament today.
Aruna said quitting doesn’t help and encouraged people to turn defeats into success. She also remarked that men often give up under pressure, while women can handle multiple challenges at once.
Interestingly, just a few days ago, Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha also shared her wish to become the CM of Telangana.
