Excise Department Clarifies Tollywood Drugs Case ControversyIn the wake of recent controversies over the 2017 Telangana Drugs Case, The Excise Department officials came before the media and rubbished the rumors that they have given clean chit to anybody including the film actors. “The investigation is still on. We have not given clean chit to anyone,” the department announced.

“We have filed Seven Chargesheets in this case so far and will file five more. We are still in the process of gathering the evidence. We are submitting the evidence to the court as and when we got them. There is no question of giving clean chit to anyone. Everyone involved will be punished,” they added.

From the past few days, there are rumors that not even one Tollywood personality has been named in the four charge sheets that were filed in connection with the case even though there were 62 Tollywood film personalities, who were questioned by the cops.

Among those who were questioned in relation to this case are director Puri Jagannadh, Shyam K Naidu, actor Subbaraju, hero Tarun, Navadeep, Chinna, actress Charmme Kaur, item girl Mumaith Khan, hero Raviteja, his car driver Srinivas, young hero Tanish and hero Nandu.
