Recently, 11 legislators in Andhra Pradesh were transferred to different constituencies, and there are speculations that many of them may choose to avoid contesting for tickets at the last minute.
Reports suggest that within the YSRCP, there is a growing campaign that around 80 sitting MLAs will not receive tickets for the upcoming elections.
In response to this dissatisfaction, Mithun Reddy, who is in charge of the Godavari districts, held talks with disgruntled MLAs.
A meeting was organized in Bangalore, where 42 disaffected MLAs, including three ministers, attended.
The severity of the situation was communicated to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The discontent among the MLAs has caused concern within the Tadepalli camp.
Jagan has decided to directly appeal to the MLAs and is prepared to negotiate with them in installments.
While several legislators were invited to Tadepalli Palace, only seven or eight responded to Jagan’s call, leaving the responsibility of convincing the rest to two senior leaders.
