Gali Janardhan Reddy who has been sentenced to 7 years in prison in Obulapuram Mining Company case along with three others will receive no special amenities in prison. He is currently serving his sentence at the Chanchalguda jail in Hyderabad.
Karnataka-based Gali Janardhan Reddy made headlines in two instances. One, in OMC case which started in 2009 and second time, he made headlines for dressing his daughter in diamond jewels from head to toe during her wedding.
A businessman and a politician, Gali Janardhan Reddy has seen the highs. But now, he is set to see the lows as the CBI Court has struck down his petition for special category in prison. However, the Court made it clear that special category relief is not given to prisoners who have been sentenced.
Incidentally, Gali has been in jail for four times already.
