Double Bedroom Project in Telangana is staring at a Six Months delay if not more as the contractors have slowed down the construction due to the burden of GST. They are waiting for the government to intervene and extend relieve.

18 percent GST on building material, one per cent cess on labor charges and another one percent on other charges is proving to be a burden for the prestigious project. Telangana government may have to absorb this additional burden to keep the project moving.
On the other side, the state government is waiting for some relief from the central government. Not even 10% of the sanctioned houses are constructed so far. With elections nearing, it will be nothing but trouble.
