The polling of the Indian General Elections is reaching its final stage. The last phase of polling will be held on June 1 and the counting will be done on June 4.
The Election Commission is making all necessary arrangements for the counting process in all states across the country.
In Andhra Pradesh, the counting process begins at 8 am on June 4. First, the postal ballot votes will be counted and at 8.30 am, the EVM counting will begin. Reportedly, the first result may come from Krishna district’s Machilipatnam or Pamarru constituencies, or from NTR district’s Nandigama.
The counting of Krishna district’s seats will be held at Krishna University in Machilipatnam. The counting of Gudivada and Gannavaram constituencies will also be held here.
The votes of the Gannavaram and Penamaluru constituencies will be counted in 22 rounds. As the rounds are higher, it may take up to 10-11 hours for the announcement of results.
A total of 12 contestants have taken part in the MLA elections of Gannavaram this year. The main contenders are TDP’s Yarlagadda Venkata Rao and YCP’s Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan.
The counting of the Gudivada constituency will be done in 17 rounds. As a result, we can expect the verdict a bit earlier.
Even in Gudivada, 12 contestants are testing their luck in these elections, with the prominent contenders being YCP’s Kodali Nani and TDP’s Venigandla Ramu.
