BRS leader Harish Rao launched a strong attack on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, calling him the “Nallamala kitten” instead of a tiger.
Speaking at a press meet, Harish Rao said that when Revanth Reddy recently visited Karnataka to meet Mallikarjun Kharge, he expected him to discuss the Alamatti dam issue with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar. However, Revanth failed to raise the matter even though Karnataka also has a Congress government.
Harish Rao said Revanth Reddy doesn’t seem to understand that raising the Alamatti dam height by five feet could turn Telangana into a desert. He criticised Revanth for not convincing Rahul Gandhi to make even a single phone call to the Karnataka leadership on this issue.
“Carrying bags to Delhi is not the Chief Minister’s only job. He must also protect Telangana’s interests,” Harish Rao said.
The Karnataka government’s decision to increase the dam height has triggered widespread concern in Telangana. While the BRS continues to raise the issue on public platforms, Revanth Reddy has remained silent, drawing further criticism from the opposition.
