Former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao addressed the People after a long time. KCR has been inactive in politics ever since the defeat in 2023.

He finally spoke to the people at the BRS Silver Jubilee Function at Elkathurthy, Warangal.

KCR spoke in his style for close to 52 Minutes. He started off the speech with the Telangana movement and the role BRS played in it. He then spoke about how the then governments discriminated against Telangana back then.

And then, he moved on to his ten-year rule and claimed how Telangana was cruising in Development during his tenure.

The conclusion is how people faltered by voting for Congress and how the Revanth Reddy Government cheated the people by going back on all promises. He mentioned how many schemes are stopped, many projects were left incomplete, how the farmers are suffering, how the state finances are crumbling, and how the state finances have become extremely bad.

The usual fire we see in KCR’s speech is missing, but the speech is still fine.

It is a routine Opposition Leader’s Speech. Probably, its been a while since he spoke to the public and so it is not possible to maintain the old fire.

Usually, the crowd in attendance is the major criteria for the success or failure of such meetings. A mammoth crowd has attended the Public meeting and so, we can consider it as a success and a huge morale booster for the BRS rank and file.

There are two things that are worth mentioning about this speech.

KCR did not take the name of Revanth Reddy in his entire speech, probably sending an indication that the CM is not of his stature.

He lambasted Congress, left, right, and center, both for its historical failure of Telangana and for the administrative failure this term.

In his speech, he even mentioned TDP and Chandrababu Naidu once, but did not take the name of the BJP.

He may have omitted the BJP, thinking they are not a major force in Telangana Politics. Another reason is that KCR is likely to open doors for an alliance with the BJP.

In the 2024 Parliament Elections, the BJP managed to win 8 out of the seventeen seats in Telangana while the BRS failed to open its account.

BJP and Congress are tied at eight seats in that election.

But then, BRS leaders are trying to downplay the BJP, saying that it is the Modi factor in the Parliament elections, and they are ineffective in the Assembly elections.

They are pointing out how the party managed only eight MLA seats in the Assembly elections.

But then, this inference may not be totally right. BJP is decently placed for the 2023 elections, but the party’s top leadership saw Congress gaining in the state. They tried to help the BRS by pulling the plug off.

They bowed out of the race when they changed Bandi Sanjay as the Party President. They thought they were helping BRS by moving their voters to BRS, but the anti-government votes moved to Congress.

So, KCR should not underestimate the BJP.

Or maybe KCR is keeping an option open to have an alliance with the BJP if needed.

Kavitha has a Liquor Scam pending around her neck. It is not wise to poke the BJP in any way now.

It is always safe to fight one enemy in the Opposition instead of two.

Elections are three and a half years away in Telangana. BRS may even need an alliance with the BJP. So, considering all these factors, he may not have attacked the Saffron Party.

So, KCR did not take the name of Revanth Reddy out of hate, and the BJP keeping in mind the possible need in the future.
