Vijayasai Reddy Daughter

In the ongoing legal proceedings in the Andhra Pradesh High Court concerning the demolition of a barrier wall constructed by Penaka Nehareddy, daughter of YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, near Bhimili beach in Visakhapatnam, significant developments have taken place.

During the inquiry, both parties presented their arguments, with Nehareddy acknowledging that a portion of the wall had already been demolished by the authorities. When the court questioned who had paid for the demolition, it was revealed that the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) had borne the costs.

The High Court then ordered the GVMC’s legal counsel to submit the relevant bills detailing the expenses incurred. This scrutiny indicates that the court is closely monitoring the financial implications of the demolition.

Additionally, when the court inquired about the remaining illegal structures, the GVMC lawyer confirmed that Nehareddy had been issued a notice, giving her three days to respond. The court’s interest in the demolition expenses hints that it may order Nehareddy to cover the costs once further action is taken to remove the remaining encroachments.
