DSP Dugyala Praneeth Kumar, the Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) during KCR’s rule (2018-2023) was recently suspended and later arrested on the charges of tapping the phones of BRS’s Political opponents.
He is also accused of copying intelligence data onto his personal pen drives and passing it on to those in power.
Meanwhile, there are numerous WhatsApp chats between Praneeth Kumar and BRS leaders are surfacing in the media giving credence to these allegations.
According to the media reports, Praneeth Rao had operated three private war rooms with exclusive private servers to carry out the phone tapping.
He had a huge cache of data and recorded at least 10 lakh two-way conversations over a period of time including that of the current Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, realtors, bureaucrats, and some media personalities.
On the other hand, Maha TV carried an interesting report about this phone-tapping issue.
It is alleged that even the mobile phones of some film heroines were tapped and the files were forwarded to someone in the Government.
This is something really interesting. If it is true, one will wonder who are the heroines in the list and who asked for it.
Phone tapping is a serious issue. If it is proved in the court that the then Government really resorted to phone tapping, there can be serious consequences.
