Officers from the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, the Raidurgam police Special Operations Team, and the excise department conducted a midnight raid on Saturday at the ‘Forest Alchemy – 3rd Edition’ event at The Cave Club in Khajaguda. The surprise operation targeted attendees of a psychedelic music night, following a tip-off.
During the raid, 24 out of 55 club-goers tested positive for substances like marijuana and cocaine. Two, including the DJ, were found with cocaine, and five others tested positive for methamphetamine. Authorities used a 12-panel drug test for identification.
All 24 individuals were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Additionally, the police confiscated 24 cell phones and drug test kits, which have been handed over to the Raidurgam Police Station.
The club’s three owners and a manager have also been charged under the NDPS Act. The Raidurgam police have ordered the club to close until further notice.
