Next time you order products, especially food, you need to think twice. Food Safety officials in Hyderabad raided multiple restaurants and then moved to the godowns of online delivery companies. The action revealed unsafe storage and poor handling.
Officials inspected 75 godowns linked to Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy, Zomato, Big Basket, Flipkart, Reliance Jio Mart and Amazon. They seized vegetables, expired packets and other unsafe items during checks. Notices followed soon after.
Hyderabad depends heavily on these brands for daily supplies. Convenience keeps users indoors, as people find it easier to order online than step out. Even items worth Rs 25 arrive at the doorstep, which has changed habits across the city.
Shocking visuals from the raids triggered strong reactions online. Many users now question product quality and feel worried that such large platforms failed basic responsibility. The situation pushes you to rethink trust placed on big delivery names.
