The GHMC has made elaborate arrangements for Ganesh nimarjan on September 6. Lights, mobile toilets, and cranes have been deployed across the city to ensure smooth idol immersions and hassle-free celebrations.
At Hussain Sagar, 40 cranes are stationed, while 134 static cranes and 269 mobile cranes have been placed in various parts of the city. Officials clarified that idol immersion will be allowed only at Necklace Road, People’s Plaza, and NTR Marg.
Idols under five feet must be immersed in baby ponds set up at Necklace Road and Sanjeevaiah Park. Focus lights and mobile toilets have also been arranged in these areas for the convenience of devotees and visitors.
Cleaning work will be carried out with 4,000 staff working in three shifts. Officials estimate nearly 50,000 idols will arrive for immersion. GHMC, HMDA, police, and other departments are coordinating to ensure safety at Hussain Sagar and across the city.
