TS Electricity Regulatory Commission has reduced the power tariff to L&T but the company is not satisfied and still feels they can get power cheaper in the open access system and are insisting on getting the state government’s permission.

Telangana Government is sitting on the proposal as SPDCL would lose revenue. Further, L&T has decided to set up solar power plants in every railway station for its power requirements. HMR has already signed an MOU with GreenKo Energy Company to set up solar rooftops in 64 Metro railway stations.
