The city of Hyderabad features historical structures on one side and modern skyscrapers and IT towers on the other. Now, it’s getting ready for another landmark, its own Times Square.
The government of Telangana announced T-Square, which will be as iconic as New York’s Times Square. The Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) has issued tenders for architects and transaction advisors for the construction of T-Square in the Raidurgam area.
TGIIC issued a request for proposals, emphasizing the need for an architectural marvel and multifunctional plaza that showcases the cultural spirit of Telangana. They want T-Square to provide a comfortable and engaging experience for people.
There is a shortage of public spaces and amenities in the Raidurg area, despite having good transport links through TGRTC and Hyderabad Metro Rail.
Thus, the government wants to build T-Square to create a hub for entertainment, comfort, and relaxation for the public, where various events can be held.
The project will also focus on setting up environmentally friendly spaces, promoting sustainability, and creating green spaces.
TGIIC highlighted the need for consultancy services to understand the need for a major tourist destination in Raidurg that can be an entertainment and engaging hub for people.
They asked bidding advisors to propose a concept plan and optimal structures for the project and to help TGIIC find a suitable developer.
Overall, the government wants to make the project a major landmark in the city, like Charminar, Hussain Sagar, and Cyber Towers.
