HYDRAA, once praised by the people of Telangana, is now facing criticism. The agency was initially appreciated for demolishing properties belonging to influential personalities, but as it began targeting the homes of poor people, it started facing severe backlash.
Meanwhile, it is alleged HYDRAA’s actions resulted in the downfall of real estate in Telangana. According to reports, the registration revenue in Telangana decreased by 30% in September.
There were only 80,000 transactions and an income of only Rs. 650 crores in September. The impact is high in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.
The transactions have been decreased by 5000 in Rangareddy and 4000 in Medchal Malkajgiri districts. The registrations were higher during the initial months of the financial year but dropped significantly after the introduction of HYDRAA.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao took to X to criticize the state government, highlighting these reports. He pointed out that real estate has been in decline for the past two months in the state. He accused CM Revanth Reddy of failing to protect Hyderabad and instead creating fear by sending bulldozers to people’s homes.
KTR further alleged that Revanth is not generating any revenue and is recklessly wasting resources. He questioned Revanth Reddy’s intentions for the future of Telangana.
