Senior IAS Officer, Yerra Sri Lakshmi went to jail in the Obulapuram mining case and faced interrogation in Jagan’s quid-pro-quo cases. Back then, the pressure of cases deteriorated her health and confined her to wheelchair for several months.
After Jagan came to power, he brought her from Telangana cadre and gave her a key posting in the Government.

Now, Jagan is gone and Sri Lakshmi had to pay price once again.
Chief Secretary Neerab Kumar Prasad is retiring this month. As per the seniority, Sri Lakshmi has to be the next Chief Secretary but Chandrababu Naidu is not interested in giving her.

The Chief Secretary is the head of the bureaucracy and the highest government position. Every IAS office dreams of becoming the Chief Secretary, but Sri Lakshmi will not get that position.
“She is paying the price for being a partner in Jagan’s crimes,” the talk in the lobbies of the AP Secretariat.

After Sri Lakshmi, Anant Ramu is next in the seniority list but reports are that Chandrababu does not trust his abilities.
Sai Prasad who is next in the senior list after Anant Ramu is likely to be the next Chief Secretary, sources say.
Although he held key positions in the Jagan government in the past, he worked as a secretary in the Chandrababu government before that.
Chandrababu is going to make him the CS because of the trust he had built up then.
