Influencer Deletes Viral Video After Getting Threat

Bournvira LegalRecently Cadbury’s Bournvita faced a lot of heat on social media after an online influencer criticized its endorsement as a “health drink” in a video that went viral.

Revant Himatsingka also known as Food Pharmer on Insta posted a video where he criticized the Bournvita’s nutritional value and sugar content claims. The video received more than 12 million views. Big celebs like Paresh Rawal and former cricketer and MP Kirti Azad shared that video on Twitter.

Soon Revant received a legal notice from Cadbury’s which made him delete the video. He also posted an apology to Bournvita on Instagram.

He wrote, “I have decided to take down the (Bournvita) video after receiving a legal notice from one of India’s biggest law firms on 13 April. I apologize to Cadbury for making the video. I did not plan or intend to infringe any trademark or defame any company nor do I have the interest or resources to participate in any court cases and I request MNCs to not take this forward legally.”
