India’s IT giant Infosys is trying to shed its conservative approach of maintaining strict office hours and rules. However off late the company’s finances have dipped down and the company’s new CEO Vishal Sikka is planning to bring in a novel approach to increase the employee satisfaction levels and thereby increase the company’s productivity. Due to the dip in employee satisfaction levels, there is talent draining from Infosys to other companies and to restrict the flow.

Sikka had come up with this idea of allowing employees to use Facebook and Twitter on their personal devices during working hours from October but only with a promise of completing their work on time. The company also increased the frequency of Team Lunch culture so as to increase the bonding within the work teams. Vishal Sikka is the company’s first CEO who is not a co-founder or a legacy employee. The CEO is also said to be frequently mailing his employees these days, an usual practice in Infosys’ earlier CEOs.
