The AP High Court gave a jolt to Perni Nani on Friday. The ex YSRCP minister Preni Venkataramaiah or Perni Nani is under radar for making instigating comments during YSRCP meet.
Nani approached the Court asking to stall arrest and any other action that might be taken by the police. As the police asked time to produce all details, the Court postponed the case to Tuesday.
On July 11, speaking to YSRCP cadre in Pamarru in Krishna district, Perni Nani said – cheppi kadu, cheppakunda narikeyali… cheekatlo kannu kodithe pani aipovali. Ippudu aravatam kadu. Tappu chesina vadu evaraina unte, mana prabhutvam vachaka eseyyandi.
TDP Machilipatnam city president Logisetti Venkataswamy complained to the police against the violent and threatening language used by Perni Nani. The Pamarru police filed a case against Nani.
Perni Nani filed a quash petition in the High Court. During the hearing, Perni Nani’s counsel argued that only part of Perni Nani’s entire speech is being highlighted. He further said since all sections meant jail for less than 7 years, the police were trying to add more sections.
The counsel asked the High Court to stop police from taking action. On the other hand, PP of police said that they needed time to present all facts.
After listening to both sides, the High Court postponed the hearing to Tuesday.
