TDP President CBN’s extensive procession from Rajahmundry to Vijayawada has become a hot topic in Andhra Pradesh. The rally spanned three districts: East Godavari, West Godavari, and Krishna. YSRCP leaders did not anticipate such a significant response from the people following his release.
It has been reported that intelligence provided information to the government that approximately 10 lakh people lined the roads to welcome CBN on the highway. According to the reports, women were seen in larger numbers along the highway to welcome CBN.
Some YSRCP leaders discussed internally that if the government had released CBN after 11 pm, they might not have witnessed such a massive response from the people. TDP cadre quickly sprang into action after the High Court granted bail in the morning. People eagerly awaited CBN’s arrival on the highway, and in some places like Dendulur, Tanuku, and Ungutur areas, even the police struggled to control the crowds.
In Krishna district, people slept on the road and had dinner on the highway, even into the late hours of the night, just to catch a glimpse of CBN. Social media was flooded with memes and jokes about Jagan’s government actions. CBN initiated his rally in October and reached his home in November.
Jagan unintentionally provided free publicity to the TDP through the arrest and subsequent release of CBN. When he was arrested, Jagan covered three districts: Kurnool, Prakasam, and Guntur, and now CBN has undertaken a similar rally after his release, covering three districts: East Godavari, West Godavari, and Krishna.
