Mumbai Indians played their first game of the tournament last night against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad and they cam under the pump as they ended up losing by 6 runs in a close game.
But the most important discussion on social media is not about the result of the game but the shocking incidents that happened on the field.
Newly appointed captain of MI, Hardik Pandya was seen disrespecting Rohit Sharma on the field. In one instance, Pandya asked Rohit to change his fielding position and go to deep positions. This is not usually seen with seniors where a new captain changes their field position.
The video of Hardik asking Rohit to go into deeper field position has surfaced on social media and it has earned him a whole lot of hate and criticism on social media. Pandya is being trolled by netizens for his disrespectful attitude towards former captain Rohit Sharma, who was indeed the man who brought Pandya into MI in he first place.
Not just that, there were occasions when Pandya had a seeming fallout with senior bowler Bumrah. These videos are also going viral on social media.
It is clearly evident that the situation inside the MI dressing room is not very good after Rohit got replaced as captain by Pandya.
