Telangana to pay AP in installments

According to the bifurcation act, Telangana is getting 53.89 per cent and AP 46.11 per cent power generated by all the plants located in two states. But Telangana is not paying to the power it got from AP. The state government had said that Telangana is yet to pay 1390 Crore as arrears.

However Telangana officials said it is only 1000 Crore and promised to pay in installments of 150 Crore per month. Both the sides have decided to appoint a joint committee to decide up on the differences in the arrears. Telangana also told that AP had to pay them 1100 Crore as Power bonds which will also be discussed by the committee to be appointed.
