One of the more infamous incidents in Andhra Pradesh politics is the attack on YS Jagan at the Vizag Airport. This is infamously named Kodikathi attack which reminds the nature of the weapon that was used.
Now this issue is back in the discussion as Jagan has found a reason to contradict his statement with his own peace of action earlier.
A couple of days ago, Jagan said his former cabinet minister Sidiri Appalaraju’s 18 year old son committed a bike accident and killed a person, and he should be spared for the same.
“ Accidents keep happening. How can a 18 year old boy be booked in a murder case just so that he drove a bike and killed a person on the road? He is just 18 years old and needs to be spared.” Jagan said.
This ambitious comment from Jagan did not go well on social media as people started to criticise his lighthearted approach towards a shocking incident where a person was killed. This reflected in the comment from Andhra Pradesh home Minister, Anita today.
Anita questioned the audacity of Jagan to have dual mindset on similar issues. She pointed out that the same Jagan pressed charges against Kodikathi Srinu who was also 18 years old when he attacked Jagan at the Vizag airport.
“Jagan did not spare the 18 year old boy Kodikathi Srinu, when he attacked him. But now the same Jagan wants another 18 year old boy to walk free from a murder case, just because he is the son of his former cabinet minister. How can Jagan his approach based on his needs.” The Home Minister question.
The home Minister certainly has a strong point to make here and Jagan possibly has some rethinking to do with regard to his approach on certain matters.
