CBN Bares Jagan’s Temple-Church Politics

Jagan puja at Nandiswara temple

On Wednesday, during his 2nd day in Pulivendula, ex CM and YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy performed the puja following the installation of deity at Nandiswara temple in Nandipalli. The video of his puja is on social media where he is seen performing the required rituals. One can see that wife Bharathi is missing in the scene.

With the adulterated ghee turning into a major controversy and with a one-man committee probing the matter, looks like Jagan wants to show he is as committed to Hinduism as he is to Christianity. After all, religious vote banks decide election results across secular India.

Surprisingly though, Jagan’s temple tour came just hours after Chandrababu showed pictures of his uncle YV Subba Reddy’s wife holding a Bible in her hand. Chandrababu also showed a picture of Bhumana Karunakar Reddy’s daughter’s wedding being conducted at the Medak Church.

The pictures date back to a few years. But the moral of the story as Chandrababu pointed out was that both YV Subba Reddy and Bhumana followed Jesus. Such people were given top posts in TTD.

Chandrababu’s argument was simple. When such gentlemen are appointed in top positions in TTD, will they uphold the sanctity and faith of the temple town.

It was during YSRCP term that there were allegations of conversions in Tirumala. In fact, there are strong rumours around late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s death. According to rumours, late YSR met with a fatal plane crash as he tried to tamper with the sanctity of Tirumala.

Setting aside the rumours, isn’t it rational to ask how YV Subbareddy and Bhumana were made chairmen of the TTD Board. Pause and think.
