Around two years ago, YS Jagan was so very confident about returning to power in the 2024 election that he built a lavish Palace in Rushikonda, Vizag to instate his ruling from here. It was made to seem like Jagan would run the administration from Vizag if he won the 2024 election.
However, the public mandate was so very against him that Jagan appears to have completely changed his mind against Vizag. Moreover, this very region of Vizag delivered zero seats for YSR Congress, despite their promise to develop it as the capital and it added fuel to fire.
Despite the promise from Jagan to develop Vizag, guess the capital, the people of the region outrightly rejected this proposition and they backed the Telugu Desam overwhelmingly.
A few people are commenting that this might have a subconscious impact on Jagan as he has now changed his stand completely. The former CM is not even liking to speak about Vizag at this point as he is strongly publicising the MaViGun region.
Jagan is at a point where he is maintaining MaViGun as the central point of his election campaign for the 2029 election. This is pretty much confirms that his fairytale run with Vizag, which lasted around a year is pretty much done and dusted. He is no longer in the mood to have Vizag as the central point of administration.
This has again led to another theory and questioning on whether Jagan would lose fascination with this MaViGun too in a couple of years like he did with Vizag and what he would do then.
