TDP leaders have announced a program to visit Government hospitals and COVID care centers across the state to see the arrangements made and instill confidence in the patients. But then, for some reason, the government is not liking it.
TDP leaders across the thirteen districts of Andhra Pradesh are being put under house arrest. “CM Jagan will not come out the Tadepalli palace. He will not allow others to go. What is that the Government is trying to hide?,” questioned former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.
“The officials and the staff are fighting the pandemic for over a year. Some are exhausted and some have become complacent. But there is no space for either of them in the middle of a pandemic. Such VIP visits will keep them on their toes,” experts say.
“Ideally, this is the job of the Chief Minister and the ministers. If they are not doing it, they should at least allow the Opposition to do that. Political calculations will do no good to anyone in the middle of a Pandemic,” they add. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh is ranked fifth in the states of India with respect to the highest number of active cases.
