YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be becoming clueless day by day after losing Power. For the last five years, we have seen him completely locked in the Tadepalli Palace without interacting with Media. Only Sajja Ramakrishna Reddy became the party’s mouthpiece speaking on everything and anything.

After the elections, we have seen Jagan going creative and finding all sorts of reasons, except for the real miss rule for his defeat. He believes that he would not be defeated if he interacted with Media continuously and rebutted the allegations of TDP from time to time.

While not interacting with media is a problem, Jagan did not understand the problem completely.

In recent times, Jagan started interacting with the Media once or twice a week, but then even these press meets are without any honesty, just like how pre-release events have become methodical and predictable for films.

For a long time, there is no innovation in the Pre-release events of the films. The Anchors, the Stage Performances, and the Speeches – everything is a fixed and expected flow and a beaten-to-death formula.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is being more in his Bangalore Palace these days. Once a week, he takes a flight to Vijayawada and holds a press conference. He uses his conference room in his Palace for the Pressmeet, and the invitations will only go to a handpicked, select few journalists.

While Lokesh always makes it a point to take questions from Pro-YSRCP Channels like Sakshi, TV9, and NTV, Jagan would not allow them.

Previously, Sajjala used to speak on the behalf of YSR Congress. Now, Jagan would read Sajjala’s script keeping papers before him. He goes on speaking for hours together, and then earlier there used to be criticism that he would not take questions from the media.

So after his long speech, he would take exactly two or three questions from the Media, who are pro-YSR Congress. These are selected questions, and Jagan would come up with routine answers, and nobody would cross-question him. After saying whatever he wants to he would go away.

While coming to Media is a welcome change, there is no honesty in doing that. Every leader be it Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, or Lokesh, there would be no preparation when they talk to the Media (except for official Pressmeets). They would answer the questions from the media wherever the reporters stop, but Jagan has a standard set up, a big conference room, and Hungama to address Media.

The proceedings will be recorded first, edited whatever is necessary, and the video will be broadcast live.

The conference room itself gives an impression that Jagan is still in the Monarch and Palace mindset. The scripted questions and the handpicked reporters indicate that he is still not in the correct mindset or brave enough to face the media.

The continuous reading from papers which is clearly evident in the video gives a very wrong impression to the people. It’s high time. Jagan comes out of this template mindset and is honest in making the changes that were needed after that massive defeat.
