In under a couple of months from now, Andhra Pradesh will be entering the electoral battle again in the form of the upcoming local body elections. It is obvious that the ruling alliance will sweep the election, but they could be some discussion about the seat allocation.
The TDP is the fundamental strong party here and will naturally contest the most number of seats in the local polls. But at the same time, there is a lot of discussion happening on the number of seats that could be allocated for Janasena party.
The structural integrity of TDP might be far superior to any other party in the alliance. But there are certain parameters that need to be met, and JSP and BJP will also have to be given adequate number of seats.
But the positive thing here is that the Janasena party appears to be in tune with reality and the same is reflecting in their latest comment on the seat allocation prospect.
Nadendla Manohar who can be regarded as the number two in Janasena party conveyed that it is not important to contest in more number of seats, but it is more important to assess the seats that JSP has strong contention in and then pick these seats.
Manohar gave a needed reality, check for a section of Janasena supporters who might’ve otherwise gone into overdrive and simply fight for more number of seats for the sake of it. This would have depleted the chances of the NDA domination just for the sake of numbers game.
Now that the Janasena leadership is actually educated about the electoral prospect in the coming local body polls, the outcomes could be reflecting of the same as well.
