Janasena appointed Fact-Finding Committee has pegged the Center’s Pending Assistance to Andhra Pradesh at a whopping 74542 Crore. This includes the assistance in only quantifiable items and does not include many which cannot be quantifiable.

For an instance, the grandiose plans of Chandrababu for Amaravati are not included. This 74542 Crore includes Revenue Deficit, Special Status Value, Basic Amenities for Amaravati, and Bundelkhand like Package to Backward Areas. It also did not include expenses of Polavaram in this number.
All these expenses are a lot higher than what the Center is proposing or giving so far. The committee did not consider some tall claims of AP Government like the inclusion of Farm Loan Waiver in Revenue Deficit etc. Center’s refusing Duggarajapatnam Port on technical reasons and the state’s delay in showing alternate location is also found fault with.
The committee mostly opined that the BJP led Central Government is clearly moving away from the promises and law-abiding commitments to Andhra Pradesh. It also felt that Andhra Pradesh Government has not done as much as it should pressurize the Central Government on these issues.
