Pawan Kalyan announcing a candidate in Tanuku a strong seat of TDP and him deciding to attend the NDA’s partners meeting created doubts if all is well between Janasena and TDP.
Pawan Kalyan, on one day, says he will not let the Opposition vote divide and on the other day says no one should talk about alliances. These mood swings are confusing the people and cadre.
The position of Janasena leaders in the erstwhile Godavari districts is even worse. Janasena is strong in these districts due to caste equations but the party is not in a winning position.
In a couple of seats, Janasena can finish close second if the party goes alone and in many constituencies, it will not stand a chance.
However, the fortunes can drastically change if there is an alliance. Janasena can easily win a handful of seats if there is an alliance. The memories of Pawan Kalyan himself losing in Bhimavaram in a three-way contest are still fresh in their minds.
Janasena Godavari district leaders are batting for the alliance since a couple of years. We have seen them forge an alliance with TDP in the local elections and win some seats. So they are well aware of the consequences of going alone or with BJP.
They are praying the almighty to control the mood swings of Pawan Kalyan.
