After Khairatabad MLA Danam Narender asked for more time to reply to the Telangana Speaker on the 10 defecting MLAs case, Kadiyam Srihari has also sought more time. The Speaker initially asked all defecting MLAs to submit their clarifications before November 23.
Kadiyam told the media that he requested additional time to prepare his reply and that the Speaker agreed. Like Danam Nagender, the Ghanpur Station MLA says he is fully ready for a by-election. He added that he will submit his reply soon and will stand by the Speaker’s decision.
Kadiyam said he has been working with the Congress for the development of Ghanpur Station. He claimed that every village has seen growth and that many development works are underway. He told reporters he does not fear a by-election and is confident his constituency will support him.
Political circles say Kadiyam, like Danam, is relying on the Congress victory in the recent Jubilee Hills by-election. They believe this result is boosting confidence among defecting MLAs who expect similar voter support in their constituencies.
