A while ago, Posani Krishna Murali stated that the Nandi awards are only given to Kamma community film personalities. This was when TDP was in power and it is an attempt to sling mud at TDP and help YCP.
Even now, at YCP government’s fibre net and parallel OTT release for new Telugu theatrical releases prospect announcement, Posani sang the same song.
Posani added that the Nandi awards are given to people who are from certain communities and groups. He is still of the implication that Kammas are influencing Nandi awards and only Kamma film personalities are benefiting from the same.
It is very clear that Posani is trying to stay in Jagan’s good books by slinging mud at his own Kamma community.
A netizen questioned Posani “you used the same narrative against TDP, while you knew full well that Allu Aravind and Jeevitha Rajasekhar committees were the ones that decided the Nandi award winners. Now you’re using the same again. Why don’t you ask Jagan to hold the awards impartially and wipe out the Kamma dominance that you’re implying at?”
The YCP government has loaded advisory boards and most nominated posts completely with Reddy community people. This Posani has a small post in this community-favouring government. This itself invalidates his casteism narrative, a netizen pointed out.
