After serving jail and coming out on bail, Kavitha was discharged from the Delhi liquor scam case along with 31 others including AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia.
But as Kavitha was celebrating her discharge, a petition has been filed at the Delhi High Court by the CBI regarding the sudden discharge of the accused.
Kavitha took to X and stated that she received the notices at 12.30 pm on Thursday and was supposed to attend Court hearing on March 16, at 10.30 am. Right now, Kavitha is an emerging leader getting ready to launch her party. She is confident and has shrugged off the support of her party.
Displaying her new-found independence, Kavitha said she consulted with her legal team and decided to cooperate in the legal situations that could arise in future. She said she had utmost respect in the law of the land.
As CBI filed the petition, Kavitha asked people not to misinterpret the new development and simply look at it as a legal development.
Kavitha showed her maturity as someone who is preparing to be a major player in Telangana. It should be recollected that her father and BRS chief KCR severed his ties with the BJP and held grudges against the PM.
But Kavitha’s approach is smoother and reflects her confidence in handling matters without the support of an established party and family. The Delhi liquor case proceedings will be a litmus test to Kavitha’s perseverance and courage.
I have been served a notice by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at around 12.30 PM today, informing me of the petition being presented in the Hon’ble High Court on 16/03/26.
I am in consultation with my legal team and will respond appropriately through official… pic.twitter.com/qhxU8ACVfq
