Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha declared that she is not anyone’s arrow but the arrow of Telangana’s people. Speaking to the media in Karimnagar during her Janam Baata padayatra, she said she represents the true voice of Telangana.
Kavitha said Telangana politics has reached a dead end. She accused all major parties of ignoring the real issues of the people. She said Telangana Jagruthi will step forward as the voice of the state and fight for its people.
She added that while all parties were busy with the Jubilee Hills by-election, none cared about farmers suffering after the cyclone impact. Telangana Jagruthi, she said, will stand with farmers and does not hold any position on the by-election.
Kavitha said she will fight for farmers, labour, and women. She accused Prime Minister Modi of suppressing labour and said Congress and BRS failed to defend them. She appreciated the Left parties but said their voices were not enough.
She added that Backward Classes, who form 52% of the population, deserve reservations. Women also need fair representation, she said. Kavitha urged that the time has come for social equality in Telangana and a movement toward change.
On her MLC resignation, Kavitha said the chairman is delaying its acceptance. She mentioned she would make a decision during the local body elections. She concluded that the time is right for a new, socially equal Telangana.
