It is more or less confirmed that Kalvakuntla Kavitha is contemplating starting a new political party in Telangana.
The other day, she inaugurated a new office of Telangana Jagruthi closer to her home in Banjara Hills.
The Office has no pictures of BRS, but she had KCR and Professor Jayashankar’s photos put up inside.
This office may be transformed into her party office if things do not go her way.
This is basically a threat to KCR and KTR to respond to her demands.
The MLC clearly said that she will only work under KCR’s leadership, not anyone else.
That means this issue is completely about KCR coronating KTR as his heir, and Kavitha differs with that decision.
So what happens if Kavitha floats her own party?
We will see two parties emerge from a single party, like how DMK and AIADMK.
Former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, MG Ramachandran (MGR) broke away from the DMK to start AIADMK.
Both parties emerged as Bigger Powers in Tamil Nadu Politics and dictated Power in that State.
They nullified the National Parties in the State and divided Power between themselves for Ages.
So, can Kavitha’s Party emerge on similar lines, and can both BRS and the new party dictate power, sidelining other parties?
Some people say this may be a plot of KCR to keep the National Parties away.
During the ten years of its power, BRS positioned itself as a party for the Rich. Kavitha is talking about representing the Poor and the Bahujans. Together, they will cover all sections of the Telangana Society.
But then, this looks like a fairy tale.
AIADMK was a big success because it had a compelling force like MGR to make the party a success. And then, Jayalalithaa continued it.
But Kavitha is no MGR here.
It is not easy for Kavitha to break BRS and create an appealing Political Party.
