Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the other day, addressed a marathon press conference for two and a half hours lambasting the BJP.
KCR mentioned the Eknath Shinde episode in Maharashtra and thundered how BJP can be undemocratic to threaten him with another Eknath Shinde in Telangana.
“In Tamil Nadu, Stalin won with a two-thirds majority. I have a three-fourth majority. how anti-democratic you can be to threaten me?,” KCR thundered.
While KCR is very much justified in saying so, it must be remembered how KCR took the horse-trading to next level.
We have seen how KCR poached the MLAs of TDP and Congress and merged the legislative parties of TDP and Congress two times.
Just that times have changed and KCR is at receiving end and suddenly there is a long lecture on democratic values.
Back then, TDP and Congress were weak and KCR was in a dominating position.
But now, BJP is trying to call shots with its brute force at the center. KCR is suddenly feeling suffocated.
