Hyderabad and Khammam are tough nuts to crack for Telangana Rashtra Samiti for ages. The party could not make any effect on these two places even when Telangana agitation is at its peaks. The main reason for this is the influence of the settlers. TRS managed to conquer Hyderabad in the recent GHMC elections with unbelievable results.

Now KCR is turning his focus on to Khammam. The corporation elections there will happen in March. TDP, Congress and Communists are strong here. But the Yellow party is considerably weakened after Tummala Nageswara Rao joined TRS. Tummala is appointed incharge of the party there and he is able to dent in to TDP’s leaders and cadre there.
Now the CM himself is focused on denting in to Congress and Communists by showering boons for the district. He recently toured Khammam and took up various development works there. If Khammam also votes to TRS, the Operation Conquer Telangana will be complete for KCR. Given the speed of car, it may not be a surprise if that happens!
