KCR succumbs to MIM’s pressure!

KCR meeting

Looks like the coalition politics is working well on Telangana Chief Minister despite his party has absolute majority in the Assembly. September 17th, 1948 is a historically memorable day for Telangana people. On this day, the region was liberated from Nizam rule. Nizam claims Hyderabad to be a part of Pakistan then. The then Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel annexed Telangana by military action and got it under Indian Union ending the tyrannical Nizam rule.

There were demands that the Telangana liberation day should be celebrated officially by the state government. But the pressure of his partner, MIM, the Muslim party worked on KCR. It is said the MIM bosses clearly told KCR not to resort to celebrating the end of Nizam rule which MIM consider as anti-Islam activity. Government sources has clarified that the government is not celebrating the liberation day.

There is a severe backlash regarding this decision from various quarters. “Telangana might be only state in India which denies its own history. KCR clearly sold out Telangana history to MIM for Muslim votes in the upcoming elections”, opined Anji Reddy of Karimnagar who was an active participant of Telangana movement and a strong supporter of KCR and his TRS party till very recently.
