If the reports from an English Newspaper is to be believed, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is planning to sit for a Dharna in Delhi demanding power to state governments to decide on reservations for Muslims, tribals and other backward castes.

KCR is in the process of mobilizing support from other states, which have raised similar demands. Telangana Assembly recently passed a legislation to increase Quota for Muslims and STs which will take the reservations quota to 62%.
Telangana government is seeking the inclusion in Ninth Schedule of the constitution so that it can’t be challenged in court. But the BJP led Central Government is sitting on the file without clearing it as BJP do not approve Reservations on Religion Basis.
The Telangana Chief Minister reportedly already spoke to chief ministers of Rajasthan and Maharashtra on this issue and is also trying for the support of Nationalist Congress Party, Trinamool Congress, BJD, JD(U) and JD(S).
