A lady YouTuber identified as Jyoti Malhotra has been arrested with six others for passing on sensitive information to Pakistan. The six had a network spread across Punjab, Haryana.
A travel blogger, Jyoti Malhotra was running the YouTube channel ‘Travel with Jo’. In 2023, she got a visa through commission agents and visited Pakistan.
During that time, Jyoti Malhotra made friends with Ehsaan-ur-Raheem alias Daanish, who was working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. Meanwhile, the Indian government banished Daanish from India as persona non-grata on May 13, 2025. There are allegations that Daanish introduced Jyothy to Pakistan intelligence operatives (PIO). She moved in a friendly manner with Daanish when he was in New Delhi, giving rise to further suspicion. She was interacting with Pakistani agents through encrypted platforms like Snapchat, Telegram and Whatsapp.
Jyothy not only shared positive information about Pakistan, but she also shared sensitive information with Pakistan. Cases have been filed against Jyothy under Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita after Jyothy confessed to tyranny.
Along with her, a widow Guzala, Yameen Muhammad, Devender Singh Dhillon, Armaan, Banu Nasreena were also identified and arrested. They belonged to Haryana and Punjab.
