The former Managing Director of AP Beverages Corporation, D. Vasudevareddy, is under intense scrutiny as the CID tightens its investigation around him in connection with the liquor scam. Reports indicate that Vasudevareddy, who is staying in a hotel near Yelahanka Palace in Bangalore—close to the residence of former CM and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy—has been questioned by CID officials.
Due to his position in the All India Services, the CID has not arrested Vasudevareddy immediately, as this would require presenting him before a magistrate within 24 hours. Instead, they are summoning him for questioning as needed.
The investigation suggests that Vasudevareddy played a pivotal role in purchasing liquor from distilleries and setting inflated prices, allegedly for the benefit of commissions that were funneled to YSRCP leaders.
The CID’s probe has reportedly uncovered significant evidence pointing to Vasudevareddy’s involvement in the scam, which has further fueled the investigation into the broader network of corruption within the liquor trade under the previous administration.
AP CID is guessed correctly on frequent visiting of Bangalore. At the same time CID unable to find out the whereabouts of both Vasudev Reddy and Former APMDC MD Venkat Reddy. They guessed that both these fellows will be stayed in Bangalore to discuss with YS Jagan on illiquor and mining investigation.
