It is earlier said that JP will be contesting for Ongole MP but he denied it and announced that he will be contesting for Kukatpally MLA seat once again. Party members and few national leaders are also pressurizing JP to contest parliament as his role will be crucial in national politics in the wake of state bifurcation.

Kukatpally also comes under Malkajgiri Parliament. The Parliament segment has highest number of settlers and educated voters which will be an advantage to JP’s poll prospects there. It is also said that Lok Satta is eyeing to share seats with BJP for the coming elections. The party is finding a similarity in its views and that of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi.
