Madhu Yashki Goud, senior Congress leader and former MP, collapsed on Tuesday evening in Minister Sridhar Babu’s peshi. The sudden incident caused panic among those present at the Secretariat.
He was rushed to the Secretariat dispensary and given immediate medical care. Later, he was shifted to AIG Hospital, Gachibowli, for further treatment. An official update on his health condition is awaited.
Madhu Yashki Goud, a lawyer by profession, represented the Nizamabad constituency and has been an active member of the Congress party for years. He strongly supported the demand for a separate Telangana state.
Before returning to India, he practiced law in New York City for several years. While in the US, his firm handled issues faced by migrant Indians, which inspired him to address farmers’ problems back home.
He continues to manage law offices in New York and Atlanta remotely and visits occasionally. His commitment to both legal work and politics keeps him actively engaged in public service.
